I didn't get a chance to meet this awesome couple before we shot the wedding. Charlotte and Shane are both from Johannesburg, and came down to KZN to have an intimateBallito wedding on the beach. Unfortunate (now typical) KZN weather forced us to the deck of the Boat House.
After taking a few separate portraits of the bride and groom separately, we headed to the deck for the ceremony. The staff at the Boat House did a wonderful job at such short notice, with Charlotte providing some personal touches to the decor. The ceremony was attended exclusively by close family and friends, probably the most private ceremony we've shot so far. One of Charlotte's requests was to have a creative shoot on the beach, and thankfully the weather softened enough for us to head down there and get some really fun portraits of the newlyweds.
We headed back to the Boathouse and after some family pics we settled in for the reception. The speeches were full of laughs, happy tears and toasts to Charlotte and Shane. We were lucky enough to have some time to head back to where the bride and groom were staying that night, the beautiful Coco de Mer. We rounded off this magical Ballito wedding by getting some amazing shots of the couple in the garden.
