Man what a wedding. A celebration of love, colour, family, friends and dance.
Nishkal and Mishal got married in quiet and dignified ceremony at Nishkal's house on a perfect Durban winter Saturday. The outpouring of emotion was bare for all to see as Nishkal became Mishal's bride, a mixed bag of sadness and joy that one I get more familiar with every time I see a bride leaving her parents' house.
After a short lunch we left for Umhlanga to conduct a few more rituals, before we headed off to one of my favourite shoots of the year. Everything about it was perfect, including the fact that they both love being photographed as much as I love taking photographs.
If the ceremony was quiet and dignified, the reception was nothing short of an explosion of joy, the culmination of which was prepared dances from both sides of the family, before perfoming together in union.
A truly magical evening. Never stop dancing guys, you were made for it...
